Excellent company to deal with, although small they are responsive to customer need and very reliable. Great customer service. Cars are newish, clean and dependable, much cheaper then the larger car rental companies and so much better to deal with. Sylvia is amazing as are both Diego and Anwar. Highly recommend using this company for you car rental experience.

We rented a car from Yucatan Vacations for a period of 4 months. Living in Uaymitun for 5 months and desiring to see as many Maya ruins as possible, we needed a long term car rental. None of the major car rental firms were willing to give a long term rate, nor were they willing to rent for more than one month at a time. Not only did Yucatan Vacations give us a long term rate, but they gave us a new VW with only 700 kilometres on it. We had a flat tire and they came and fixed it. If we had any problems, Silvia was available by phone at any time. We drove south as far as the borders of Guatemala and Belize, east to Playa del Carmen, west through Campeche - all with no car issues. The outcome of our five months in Uaymitun was great, mostly thanks to our new rental vehicle. We also were able to have the car delivered (to us) both to and from the Merida airport, at no extra charge. I highly recommend them. Yucatan Vacations, as others have said is a professional, class act, period. They are effectively responsive and, knowledgeable about what they represent, giving them the ability to interact with their guests that might even be better than one gets with a owner. My wife and I rented a villa that they had just brought on the market. We might have been the first guests. It was a large, complicated property and as you might imagine there were a few hic-ups. They treated us as if we were their most important guests and made arrangements to solve our issues quickly and completely to our satisfaction. We travel lots and always rent homes or villas, usually from an owner, because until now we always thought it was a better assurance of satisfaction. We have changed our opinion and are renting from Yucatan Vacations next year, just for the assurance, because we know; Pamela, Sylvia or Karen will go to bat and take care of us. Two words that come to mind in my dealings with Yucatan Vacations are professionalism and integrity. They know their jobs and they do what they promise. I arranged for a car rental with a pickup at Cancun Airport. My flight was 2 hours late, but the driver was waiting. The model I had selected was not available, so they give me a slightly better one. When I needed to cancel the rental ahead of time a few weeks later, I offered to Sylvia, the owner, to pay the daily rate for doing so. But Sylvia came back and offered me a betterer rate based on an alternate schedule that I had forgotten about. Yucatan Vacations is also the property manager for the house I have been staying in. We have had to work through a series of issues related to this house not of their doing. Throughout, Sylvia had to balance my expectations with the requirements of the European owners while working with local contractors, who definitely do not conduct business in ways that we in the US and Canada are accustomed to. Sylvia managed it all professionally and patiently. Well done!
