Owned and operated since 1983, the Aguilar family founded a resort and sports centre for the adventure traveller to enjoy the marvels of the La Paz bay, the Sea of Cortez and the Baja California peninsula. We provide diving services, liveaboard cruises, hotels and daytrips for anybody to enjoy the best our oceans have to offer.

La Paz bay has some of the finest diving spots in México. Join our expert dive masters to meet gorgeous creatures like our friendly Sea Lions, amazing fish of all colours, coral reefs, shipwrecks and more. We are a PADI dive center.

Join the crews of naturalists, divemasters and experts onboard the amazing SeaEscape™, or the luxurious Southern Sport™, for Great White Shark trips to the Guadalupe Island, or the amazing Socorro Island.

42 rooms with all the confort of a nice resort away from the civilization. Cantamar™ hotel is a cozy sports lodge with it´s own very beach, a nice fresh water pool, marina and our signature Vista Chula Café.

"We did several times the trip to Espiritu Island, plus once the trip to the gray whales and once the trip to the whale sharks. It was amazing! These guys can provide you plenty of information about the place you go...

"My girlfriend and I did both the sea lion and whale shark tours with Club Cantamar and was the best value for money of my life. The sea lions were incredibly playful and I lost direction of which way was up when diving down with the baby lions. Amazing! Whale sharks were just as good if not more impressive given the shear size. One was ~8 meters."

Hermosa playa privada, buen restaurante, cuartos limpios, muy familiar, los empleados muy serviciales y el tour a isla espíritu santo a practicar snorkel es una experiencia inolvidable desde los guías, el capitán y el ceviche delicioso!! No se puede ir a La Paz sin visitar Cantamar...

Es uno de mis hoteles favoritos donde me hospedo al viajar a La Paz, la playa privada es muy hermosa, con el agua clara y tranquila. Buen servicio a la habitación y la alberca no está mal. Lo que pueden mejorar es bajar los precios de la comedia del restaurant o actualizar el menú, de igual forma habilitar la barra de bebidas en la alberca porque nunca he visto que hayan servido algo ahí.

Las habitaciones estándar tienen el baño dividido solo por la cancelería, el menú del restaurante tiene pocos platillos y la recepcionista mostró tener poca paciencia. El resto del personal es muy servicial y atento.

Asistimos a una boda, reservamos una habitación. Las instalaciones son excelentes, estuvimos muy a gusto en la visita, el evento de playa mi bien montado y atentido. El área de restaurante muy limpio y los platillos ricos y a buen precio. El área de alberca muy bien . Regresaremos pronto

Pésimo servicio, fue horrible el haber estado ahí, empezando por la alberca demasiado colorada, mal servicio del restaurant, los vasos olían a cucaracha, tardan mucho en atender, y para cerrar con broche de oro me robaron mi batería en el estacionamiento del hotel y pusieron una vieja, al día siguiente ya no arrancó mi carro. Que tristeza la verdad.

Más interesados en cobrar que en dar un servicio de calidad. Reservamos un tour para hacer snorkel con el tiburon ballena. Tuvimos dos horas de retraso sobre el horario programado, no proporcionaron neopreno a todo el grupo a pesar de cobrarlo y el personal de la embarcación/oficina no facilitó instrucciones sobre como se debía actuar en el agua con el tiburón ballena. El día que realizamos la salida era temporada alta y no parecía que hubiera ningún tipo de control de la impacto de la actividad. Demasiadas embarcaciones y gente alrededor de los tiburones ballena, el impacto era evidente.

The good: excellent staff, friendly and attentive. Very nice location, next to the sea (but also on the ferry terminal, constant heavy truck traffic). The bad: Dated, poorly equipped and maintained. This place is clearly showing its age. Rooms too basic, no fridge, no blanket, no safe box. WiFi very, very slow.
