Unaccompanied Minors: Volaris provides the service of personalized assistance to customers between 5 and 11 years old that are traveling alone. Customers between 12 and 17 years have the option of traveling as unaccompanied minors or as adults. Volaris accepts minors between 2 and 4 years old as unaccompanied minors only if they travel with a relative between 12 and 17 years old that accepts responsibility for the minor; in this case, both must purchase the service for unaccompanied minors. The service consists in assisting the minor from the airport of origin, during the flight and until the final destination airport (it does not include Volaris Shuttle service). If the reservation includes connecting flights, the waiting time between the flights must be more than 2 hours and less than 4.
An infant, over 7 days and under 2 years old, must travel accompanied by an adult. the infant will travel without the right to use a seat and without the included baggage allowance. A fee will be applied ($399 MXN/$39.99 USD), which allows you to transport only the following baby items: a baby carrier, and a diaper bag, as long as they comply with the allowed dimensions and weight.
