Hotel de lujo en Riviera Maya, cerca de Cancun. Repleto de canadienses, estadounidenses y gente de Reino Unido. En finales agosto septiembre la playa llena de algas. El servicio excepcional, la gente muy amable y atenta. Lejos de los sitios de excursiones pero merece la pena.

Infraestructura espectacular! Servicio del personal es muy buena siempre pendientes. Restaurantes variados y muy bueno. El del buffet es muy variado. Los shows de noche están muy lindos. El bar podría mejorar en cuanto a los cócteles. El club de niños también podría mejorar en sus actividades. El parque acuático es bien grande y nos chicos se divierten mucho hay un snack muy bueno al lado.

Excelente atención para familias (espacios, shows, club infantil). Hay que investigar bien el proceso de reservaciones para cenar en los restaurantes especializados. Aún así, el restaurante bufete tiene amplia variedad y muy buena calidad. Una sola petición sería que las toallas fueran más suaves.

En los restaurantes, (aunque solo en uno hay que hacer reserva), si se demora mucho el ingreso y no te informan cuanto tienes que esperar por eso la gente prefiere ir al buffet que tiene todo tipo de comida. Estuvimos una semana, del 17 al 24 de junio. Excelente hotel, buen trato, buena comida,buenas habitaciones, en fin una excelente oportunidad de pasarla bien en familia o parejas. Le daria 4 puntos sobre 5, y el punto que no le damos, es porque pertenecemos al Club Diamond, y somos huespedes V.I.P., mas sim embargo, la mesa buffet no reconoce esta categoria, por lo que hay que hacer fila, el servicio a habitaciones tampoco reconoce esta categoria, y en la playa privada para el Club Diamond, no hay toallas suficientes, ni tumbonas protegidas, pedimos unos tragos y nos fuimos a la media hora sin que llegara...Este categoria se paga, y seria bueno que se reconozca, como se hace en el Royalton de Punta Cana. Por lo demas, todo muy bien.

Fantastic resort in Riviera/Cancun Paradise! The resort is beautifully designed, up-to-date and ideally located (nothing but sunshine and palm trees). Great all-inclusive resort for couples (the diamond club access is a bonus which gives you access to additional menus/restaurants). The food was impeccable and had over 9+ restaurants to choose from. Wonderful vacation!!

I came here with the family in May and the weather was perfect. We stayed in the diamond club section and the service was impeccable. They cleaned out rooms 3 times a day which is needed after all the swimming. Butler would tend to us whether we were sitting at the beach or by the pool. The kids pool is awesome there is so much to do there and so many activities. Food was very good too we loved the buffet because there was so many options to chose from. The zen restaurant is a must. Also like the little pizza place by the kids pool. Spa was one of my favorite things so relaxing and rejuvenating but a little pricey. Service was great,food was delicious and the price was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this resort! We have no complaints. The food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and the staff was amazing. We loved the beach service, never had to get out of chairs except to take a dip in the ocean. We ate at Zen, the carribean grill and hunters steak house. Never had to wait very long and loved the food. We will definitely be back.

First day we came, it took then 1 hour to check us in. Hotel was pretty. Came to our room and we booked a ocean view with king bed. Our room was partial ocean view and 2 full beds. Talk about runined honeymoon. Tried to make the best of it and see if customer service can help. They said "first come first serve". Definitely not satisfied with the service. None of the restaurants were satisfying. The workers were nice but always expected a tip. . Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The resort is beautiful and very comfortable. The decorations, the rooms, and the food are great. The many good options are extremely good, best yet is the Zen restaurant, most likely one of the best hibachi experiences of my life, very entertaining and the food much tastier than normal. The servers and bar tenders are very nice. I would add more staff because there have been times where I am looking around for someone and they are nowhere to be found.

The hotel is gorgeous just pure luxury!! The hotel is new and you can tell. The food is good and the service is great! The beach does have a lot of seaweed though . The pools are never ending and there are plenty of places to lounge. They have a photographer that walls around the grounds to snap professional photos which are available for a fee. This hotel is great for couples and groups. There is also a nice water park for the kids. I would definitely stay again.

Overall a decent stay. The check-in process was very long and they attempted to sell a membership to other Royalton properties. Our first room was not great, so they did switch us to a new one. The food and drinks are plentiful, although mediocre quality. The property is large and there is plenty to explore. Service is hit or miss...some people were very helpful, others were slow.

Royalton Riviera Hotel and Spa is the nicest hotel / Resort I have been to in Mexico. It is a private resort so only those staying at the resort are there. It is not in the Hotel Strip, but very secluded. There is tones to do. They have a kids club that will allow young kids to have fun all day long. They have evening shows that are fantastic to watch. The food is excellent. Staff are friendly. it is part of the Sun Wing group. I have heard that flight deals are great when bundled. I will look into to that next time I travel here. I will definitely stay here again.

Overall, a great place to stay in Cancun. There is much to do, no matter the age. So relaxing and fun place to go. The biggest concern is how to manage your alcohol consumption throughout the day when it is free and everywhere. Drink water. Bring plenty of sunscreen.

Everything was great! We attended the morning palates class and it was great and fun. All the instructors are are extra early nice and friendly! All the employees are the same! They definitely go out of their way to talk to and have fun with the guests. Thy have awesome package deals for excursions that let you do a variety of things like go see the mean ruins and zip lining and go cave snorkeling all in one package. Excellent hotel to stay with family or lovers, you can also take children here, they got swimming pool area for kids. Actually they have more than 5 restaurants inside hotel, and a profesional team for water activities. The only disadvantage is the location is too far from zona hotelera, if you need to go to downtown, you have to reserve taxi service at front desk one hour before, it takes 40 minutes to get to downtown or coco bongo club.

Stayed in Diamond club swim up, ocean facing. Excellent resort, staff friendly and service was great. Booked 2 restaurants with our Butler, he booked us into a restaurant every night if we chose to go. Got several nights of free champagne. Pools are not crowded, and typically very friendly neighbors. There were a lot of spring break kids from the USA but they were great.

WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! We booked hideaway and they gave us the resort side instead, becasue they over booked. Our TV did not work, our air in the room did not work, the water in the jacuzzi came out dark brown, every bar served drinks in reusable plastic cups that were hardly washed. EVERY drink we had you can see floaties in it, DISGUSTING!!!! Customer service was horrible, we tried to ask for help with a few matters and nobody would listen or even cared to help. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

We came here for a 5 day stay in December. The hotel is huge and has great amenities for kids. The restaurant selection is also great and the food quality is above average. Our room on the 4th floor has its own roof patio with jacuzzi and sitting areea. Overall, I would rate this hotel 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is not perfect but very close and a great all inclusive resort.

Loved it. I use this place to guage the quality of other resorts i go to. By far the best vacation resort i have stayed at so far. The food, liquor is top notch, bars and restaurants everywhere. The beach was covered in seaweed when we were there. But still better than a texas beach. Sales team might be a little pushy, but every resort does the same thing. Dont take the freebies and you wont have to do sales pitch.

I booked through a third party for the hideaway. Upon arrival, I was booked into the royalton. The difference on the booking was 300 USD per person. When raising the issue with multiple representatives, including Sunwing and multiple customer service representatives and managers, I was swept aside - to a different rep each day. By the third day, and multiple hours of discussion, I was "compensated" by a lower rate to get the amenities I had already paid for - an extra 30 USD per night, per person. I had explained that the group that we had traveled with had already paid 900 USD over the rate of what we had received (the royalton was 1780 USD per person, where the hideaway was 2200), and that I was unhappy with the their resolution. I promptly received (16 hours later) a bottle of house wine and a fruit plate. On multiple occasions I had asked for email responses to reaffirm the compensation promises that I was given, but I still have yet to get a single email. I am very disappointed in the royalton, and Sunwing. On a side note, the service staff are great, and the food is at par for a 5 star resort. The beach leaves room for improvement. The condition of the buildings are incredible, as I have not seen so much effort put towards maintaining the appearance of the structure on any other resort that I have visited.

My wife and I went to the Royalton to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. We had an awesome time. The hotel is incredible. The staff outstanding, and the service excellent. The food selection was amazing. We have been to many hotels in Cancun, the Bahamas, and Jamaica. The Royalton Riviera Cancun is by far the best! The location and entertainment were hard to believe. It was so relaxing. Out new vacation goal is to bring our entire family back for our first vacation together since they were children. If I could give you 6 stars I would. Thank you to the entire staff for making our anniversary perfect!. We will be back!

This resort is great. The rooms are great and always air conditioned. The pools are large and have swim up bars to get drinks at. The bar tenders are very good but treat you better if you tip them. If you have kids then this is a great resort for them. They have several club houses and pools that are exclusively for kids. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom in your room is not private at all and is wide open for everyone to see. The door for the bathroom does not lock and it would be very easy for someone to walk in on you.
