Fuimos invitados a una presentacion del hotel, pero ya estando ahi , practicamente quieren forzarte a comprar una membresia . Te presionan y no quieren aceptar un "no" como respuesta. Uno de los gerentes encargados ya se mostro desposta una vez que les dijimos que no. Tengan cuidado y no pierdan tiempo en eso. En forma personal mala experiencia.

Villa Del Palmar Cancun tiene área de piscina que le gustará a toda la familia. El hotel cuenta con varias áreas de juego para los niños e inclusive un puente con fuentes de agua para su diversion. Aunque el hotel se esmera con todo esto, la playa es pacífica e inmóvil. No existen las olas en esta parte debido a que Isla Mujeres se encuentra directamente al otro lado del mar. La gente es gentil, y los cuartos VIP muy bonitos ya que existen de varios tamaños para las necesidades de cada familia--todos con vista al mar. El alimento en el área de banquete es delicioso, pero nada especial en comparación con otros hoteles de su categoria. En fin, el hotel es bonito, pero el hecho que su playa parece más bien laguna lo hace un hotel mucho menos atractivo que sus competidores. Si el mar no es importante para usted, puede que sea un buen sitio para hospedarse en su próxima visita a cancun.

A little far from Cancun downtown, far from site seeing, our room was very humid bc we were on the first floor, we saw a model at the top and there was no humidity there, the hotel was under remodel of the larger pool, not much of a beach front.

I am feeling generous with my one star. Paid 400+ a night for the worst room ever. It smelled from the humidity. Floors were wet. Construction from next door woke us up at 7am. Not good for a hangover. This shows you what a scam these review sites are these days. Scamtastic.

I was given a presentation of Villa del Palmar and was given a tour of the amenities. Pool was large, clean, and luxurious. Breakfast was nice with a variety of fruits and Mexican/American cuisine. Studio room and penthouse sizes were great and customer service was excellent. Definitely worth staying here.

Villa del Palmar has everything you need to enjoy a few days. The all inclusive plan is reccomended, as you have access to delicious restaurants. I will say, however, the room was not what we expected. It was smaller because pictures of the deluxe suite were only posted online. However, it is still a great experience and we are enjoying it greatly.

I’m going to make this short and sweet. This hotel is out to screw you. They told me it was an all-inclusive and then when I arrived they said it wasn’t. I also paid to get transportation to and from the airport but they didn’t honor the transportation home because they scheduled us to leave the hotel at 3 pm without tell us. The room service staff also stole my hair straightener and blow dryer. I do not advise going to this hotel and if you do you better triple check everything because they are out to screw everyone over.

What started out as a great experience and perfect location for our wedding turned to be an awful experience the last day at the hotel. We had 20 guest stay at the hotel and as one of our guests was leaving in a taxi with some friends that stayed at a hostel across the street ($10 a night private room and treated with respect) She was accused of not paying her bill and that she owed the hotel $700. They told the taxi driver he was not to leave with her or they would call the police on him and told him to remove her bags from the car. The also threatened all taxi drivers if they took her they will have the police called on them. They called her a thief and a liar and that she was trying to runway without paying her bill. I was notified by my friends who were with her while I was at breakfast. I had to leave my guest and rush up to the lobby. When I arrived Leticia was still saying she was a liar and that she owed the hotel $700. The staff had no concern in that she was going to miss her flight they had already spent 30 min arguing with her and not looking up the room when I was called. When I got there I told them to pull up the room. Immediately they saw that the room had indeed been paid in full. There was no apology made or offer of any sort of compensation for falsely accusing her of stealing. I will not be returning to this hotel which is sad since this is where our wedding was held. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CALLED A LIAR AND A THIEF.

Went Jan 6-8, 2017 for the Hearne wedding. We booked ALL INCLUSIVE. The experience was outstanding. Service was excellent! The most amazing part was the scenery. The resort is beautiful and the upkeep was ON POINT! The room was spacious and set up very nice. The bathroom shower was different but still very nice. I definitely will be returning! I do wish we stayed long to explore the rest of the resort.

We stayed for two days at this place in a non-ocean view room. There are a lot of positives for this place. (1) location - close to all water activities .. you just walk on the beach and there are providers. (2) food taste is reasonably good. (3) the people are nice overall if you are able to steer away from timeshare deals. Negatives - cleanliness - hot tubs can be filthy with food/drinks lying all around it during evenings.

I had a really nice vacation staying as an all inclusive guest. The building is well maintained. The greeting service was very nice. The pools, beaches, and facilities were clean. The staff was well mannered. The food was good and the food service was ranged from good to excellent (Staff at Davino and Freddy at Hiroshi). Villa del Palmar is worth the price. My only complaint is that noise carried well in the rooms so I could constantly hear my neighbors moving, speaking, walking, etc during the day.

Thieves! Liars! Friend of my was staying there on his Christmas vacation and got robbed. Robbers came in their room while they were in Chichen Itza, hacked safety box and took $3400 USD. Set away from the more hectic hotel zone, this place is peaceful and still offers plenty of activities. The service has been excellent and genuine. Numerous pools and a cozy beach that feels like a private island. Staff are fantastic people. Would definitely come back again. Update: Day 4, feel bad for what some negative reviewers have described, our experience continues to be great. Yes, if you play the timeshare game to get discounts on excursions, it may be regrettable. We simply said no thank you once and have been left alone. Yes, you sign for everything so they can tip the staff accordingly... their "all inclusive" includes tips, and by ensuring you actually ordered each item, they keep staff from creating false receipts to inflate their tips. There is a space for extra gratuity, but we have not felt any pressure to do so and service has not degraded. Will update again if this takes a turn for the worse.

Very Friendly, helpful staff. Great restaurants. They gave us a free tour to a Mayan ruins site called Tulum. They have a private beach and a spa. Only downside is that its not that close to Downtown Cancun. It IS very close to Isle Mujeres, where there are many activities to do. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful resort but always felt pressure to purchase something. Husband and I went to Cancun to relax, not necessarily to be on the go. They "hounded" us for three days to attend their VIP session (a marketing ploy to buy into a timeshare) and then called us daily for excursions and tours. It was great that the ferry (Porta Sam) to Isla Mujera was next to the hotel. The food was OK, needed more variety. Staff were very friendly and hotel was very clean.

From the moment that we arrived we were treated excellent. Check in was quick and friendly, our room was upgraded at no charge to a 1 bedroom which was a nice surprise! We opted for the all inclusive which paid for itself within the first few days. Everyone was so personable and friendly, they truly make you feel like family. I love that they offer activities through out the day and the shows at night are excellent. There is plenty to do at the resort but if you want to go into shopping district or downtown Cancun there is a shuttle that you can take. If you want to take advantage of a tour they have tour advisory staff on site. We look forward to our next trip back!

-Loved my 4d short get away here 2 mo ago to get away from the snow in Wisconisn. Very beautiful beach and lots of amenities. For those who are members with the Villa Group, the elite pool is really nice/quiet with an awesome view (perfectly paired with private poolside service and personal cabana). Already booked my trip back here for christmas. been a member with this group for some time and have always been treated top notch. -(Have also stayed at the villa del palmar at san loreto and flamingos and this has been my favorite so far.) -Looking through the reviews here, @ people giving this place 1* for their timeshare presentation. YOU HAVE THE OPTION NOT TO ATTEND and can decline the breakfast! but those who do go go because they want to get free/discounted things/tours. There is not such thing as truly free in life and this is no exception.

SOME RESTAURANTS WERE CLOSED NO HEADS UP JUST GOT THERE AND FOUND OUT THEY WERE CLOSED.BEAUTIFUL HOTEL JUST NEEDS BETTER MANAGEMENT. WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF MUSIC AND OR ENTERTAINMENT SHOULD BE REASSIGNED TO ANOTHER JOB.

Amazing service at the resort and restaurants shuttles etc. Mexican food was fantastic! The teriyaki at the sushi restaurant was quite good the sushi was not. I did not have high expectations for the steak house and I was right, perhaps if you order the Kobe you will get a good steak the all inclusive menu offerings where mediocre. When I return I will stick to the Mexican food and maybe the teriyaki. At every restaurant and bar I knew when an item was not on the all inclusive options. The resort rooms beach and property where immaculate. After sleeping on the resort bed we slept so well we decided we needed a new mattress. We plan on going back again this year.

**Beware** We stayed there for a 5 night vacation in June 2012. Upon returning home I noticed they charged my credit card $600 USD. I have call the hotel (long distance) 3 different times to have these charges removed and each time they say someone will contact me within an hour. I still have not heard back from them. I finally had to cancel my credit card and reprt the fraudulent charges. BE CAREFUL DEALING WITH THIS PLACE
