Espectacular. El hotel es un auténtico paraíso y todo su personal es extremadamente atento y amable: hacen que te sientas como en casa y te ayudan en todo lo que necesites. Tiene varios restaurantes de comida internacional y en todos ellos se cena de lujo. Nosotros estamos de luna de miel y nos pusieron en la mejor habitación: vistas al mar, terraza gigante y jacuzzi exterior e interior, por no mencionar el detalle de la botella de champán y las fresas... El servicio es muy bueno, todo el personal muy atento, en los restaurantes puedo tener la tranquilidad de mandar a mis hijos solos y se que son bien atendidos, mucha variedad de comidas y de muy buen nivel, abundante carne, pollo, pescado, pato y otros mas. Actividades varias y divertidas durante el día 4. Piscina muy agradable. 5. Playa muy agradable Por mejorar: 1. la comida de dos de los restaurantes temáticos el rodizio y el japones muy regular. 2. Actividades nocturnas las actividades acaban 11:00pm falta una discoteca buena pues la del Riu Tequila no es la mejor no tiene ambiente 3. Mejorar la oferta de vinos. 4. En nuestra habitación el aire no enfriaba bien y un día tuvimos un charco de agua toco llamar a revisar, habitaciones muy normales algo viejas. 5. El sauna de los hombres no estaba funcionando.

The resort is very beautiful and there are lots of things to do. Bars and refreshment stands, as well as buffets were located very close to the room I was staying in which I found to be convenient. You will find some bugs here and there in your rooms though, and there are only about three outlets per room. Would probably come back again though.

We loved most of the hotel. It is VERY clean! However, we went for a wedding with a large party and out of approximately 20 rooms, 3 of the rooms had money and jewelry stolen out of their room. Each time something was stolen was while we were doing a group event. I would not recommend using their safe at all!!!! The management did nothing for the individuals that had their belongings swollen. We do not recommend this particular resort.

Breathtaking aesthetics! A beautiful resort that we just returned from yesterday. The night shows were amazing...great talent they have hired, the crowd was wowed day after day! The food and staff were like nothing we have had at any of the other all inclusive...very attentive and accommodating! The resort is more beautiful in person, which was a great bonus having all the beautiful aesthetics/detailing from the foliage to the architectural/design! We will defiantly be making the RIU Palaces Our "go to for All Inclusive vacations". The RIU Palaces are the top of the line in the Riu Family and they go all out! Without a doubt worth the higher price point!

The Riu hotel chain never disappoint me. For one the staff is great and knows the area well. The rooms are always large and neat. On top of that, you have a mini bar with full bottles and they refill them when you are low. Dont get me started on the food, just know you will eat good and all the time. All inclusive, beach front. The Roy Palace Mayan Riviera is a gorgeous hotel with its European design and feel. The resort offer many amenities. There is 6 a la carte and a huge buffet. The pool is nice and big plenty of chairs. The service is excellent as always. Highly recommended. Fyi you also get access to all the RIU resorts in the area

For an all inclusive resort, it was kind of dissapointing. The food was okay (aside from breakfast buffet which was fantastic). The drinks were very watered down and the Palace resort specifically is a little off the beaten path which took a 5-10 minute cab right do any night life or city experience. Tl:dr if you want to sit on the beach all day and drink, this is your place. If you want to go out and have fun, find a resort closer to the city.

Service is generally great. Russell at the fusion restaurant in particular was awesome. The staff is what makes the experience here. The food is so so, not bad, but nothing special either. The beach is beautiful & well kept. Love the swim up bar. Grounds are beautiful. The buildings are in need of an update. The only big negative is that someone is trying to sell you something at every turn. The transportation representative is very pushy trying to sell excursions. All day long you have to turn away people walking up & down the beach peddling things. Its very annoying for those who just want to relax on the beach & enjoy the resort.

It is located within a safe gated community and is great for walking/running. The hotel is also located approximately a 15 minute walk from the lovely 5 th avenue, a great commercial area for shopping and dining. CAUTION - DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE We have a wedding planned for this June at the Riu Palace and it has been the WORST EXPERIENCE imaginable. We booked the wedding 11 months in advance and asked every question imaginable before deciding to bring our 40 guests to the Riu Palace and to purchase the most expensive wedding package options as well as host a private reception on the beach. Since it has come time to plan the wedding with the designated coordinator, it has been a NIGHTMARE. I want to cry every time I talk with her because it seems all she does is tell me something is not possible or tell me it will cost an exorbitant amount of money to do so. The biggest issue we are facing is the timing of everything. Our ceremony is at 4:00 (which we chose) and our private beach reception is at 7:00, which was the only time made available to us. We were not told about the limited reception time until 9 months after booking the wedding. We asked if we could move it closer to the ceremony and they refused. This is a HUGE issue because when reserving a photographer, we have to pay for him for double the amount of time to stand around and do nothing because the Riu refuses to work with us. Additionally, the semi-private dinner included with the wedding package has been a disaster as well. We were told 6 months ago we could use this for our rehearsal dinner the night before at one of the a la carte restaurants. When I went to confirm that, they told us we could only have the buffet. I produced the email which promised us the nicer restaurants and ONLY after I did that were we able to get the steak house. HOWEVER, they will only let us eat there at 8:45PM since in their fine print – which was NEVER given to us at the time of booking nor mentioned EVER – groups of 26+ can’t be seated in the first dinner seating. So myself, the bride as well as my guests have to eat a steak dinner the night before our wedding at 10pm our time zone. This is unacceptable. So much so we are searching for other places to hold the wedding and reception. If you’re planning a wedding here I caution you to go elsewhere. It is a money scam and they don’t care about you at all. The other reviews here must be the employees because I cannot imagine anyone has left a wedding at the Riu Palace feeling like they got what they wanted. I couldn’t be more devastated.

We were supposed to stay in the Riu Tequila but they upgraded us for free. The food is really good and there are always new foods and pleanty of selection at each meal. The staff is really friendly and helpful and speak English if needed. Room was nice with plenty of space. Close to the beach and located within walking distance to a big shopping area. Would definitely stay here again.

What a phenomenal place to take a vacation! The rooms and beds were very nice, although we spent most of our time enjoying the fantastic weather. There are tons of activities to do here: water volleyball, sand volleyball, water aerobics, darts, "crazy games," or just chilling at the pool bar meeting new people from all around the world. There are shows and live music every night, and the waiters were very on-point. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets were excellent, and we had some great food at the various specialty restaurants about the resort. I wish I had more time to spend here!

This place is literally the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms, pool, bathrooms, restaurants, lobby, etc. are super clean, organized, and very pleasing to be in. The staff is very helpful and great at their jobs. The entertainment crew is amazing with getting us to have fun and they remember your names. I personally got very close with 2 of them and miss them very much!!!!! I went pair-a-sailing and it was the best experience of my life! They are very good with taking care of you. Best hotel ever, will recommend it to many others, and will definitely go back! Thank you Riu Palace!!!!! Oh and the shows at 9:45 P.M. are very very good!!!! :)

From the moment that we checked in we had nothing but problems. The Manager, Hugo, completely lied to us about rooms and rates. The place was dirty and the service was horrible. Hugo gave me a credit of $2000 pesos for an overcharge on the room which never hit my bank account. My Bank is fighting the charge. We felt completely taken advantage of and will never return. It was a complete nightmare. Do not trust these people and and highly recommend never staying there.

Came here to celebrate 2 birthdays. Had to change our 3 rooms, 3 times due to wrong assignments. I had 2 diamond watches and an iPad stolen from my room!!! The hotel did nothing about it. You feel like you are helpless here. No help, no one to talk to. They protect the hotel manager like the president and you cannot speak to him/her. Disaster. Entire trip ruined. Beautiful hotel but theft!? After searching reviews when I got home I saw thousands of complaints of theft here!! STAY AWAY!!!!
