All staff were wonderful starting with Ivan at reception, Rodrigo and Eduardo at the Grill restaurant, Jorge at beach service, Janett the restaurant Manager, Christian and Juan at the breakfast buffet and lunch. Chef Irvin at the Grill restaurant was amazing and always accommodated a couple of special requests. A very special thank you to Daniela at guest service, she was always so helpful and so professional and always with a smile on her face. Daniela, my wife and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness. We will definitely recommend this resort to anyone that is looking for a top class resort, they really do treat you like royalty. The waiter who served us at the Fuego was so slow to get us a drink I walked over to see Nancy and she made me a drink before the waiter could refill my beer.This resort is overall decent at best. The restaurants are not great in my opinion.

Food was world class, drinks were plenty, and the resort is very spacious with a lot of variety.

Beautiful resort with spacious rooms and helpful staff everywhere you turn. Great beach service too! Pools with swim up bars and in-pool lounge seats, along with spontaneous poolside performances add to the experience. Plenty of choices to eat and drink but the food is not always the best, especially the room service food. Overall a great place to vacation!!

My wife and I spent a majority of our honeymoon staying at La Perla with Armondo (our butler for Royal Service) and we had a fantastic experience. We were greeted with champagne at the front desk during check-in, given a tour of the facilities, and brought a bottle of tasty rum to start our trip. The restaurants were all incredible, I only wish we could have had more time to go back and try more of their food. A+, will book again.

This place sucked, very inconsiderate and arrogant. They "upgraded" us to a master suite only to have us move out halfway through our vacation. Extremely inconvenient. After finding ether water bugs or cockarochs in the room, they refused to accommodate us. On top of all of that, They had the nerve to try and sell us a membership to Melia for $50,000.
