No sé como son las habitaciones porque solo usamos el daypass para la playa, que incluye las sillas de playa, toallas y un cupo de dinero para bebidas o comidas. Aahh, y además puedes usar los baños y la ducha. La atención de los meseros en la playa es excelente, siempre dispuestos y ofrecen un excelente servicio, en especial, Gilberto! La playa es muy tranquila, la de este hotel, sin música! Aunque tienen un vecino, otro hotel que hace un ruido espantoso todo el dia

We loved it! Our garden view room palapa was gorgeous and even had a wonderful partial Ocean view. The while resort is immaculate and very well maintained at all times. The private beach is Beautiful and clean with plenty of security and off limits to anyone not staying at the resort. Plenty of huge thatched umbrellas and beach chairs to relax and enjoy the water. The Fuego restaurant and pool was just steps away from our room and is by far the the best of all. All of the staff are extremely courteous and welcoming and cater to your every need and want. The food is delicious. We rarely wanted to leave the resort as it seemed to be the best place to be. Every activity you could want front snorkeling and scuba to jet skis and para sailing can be scheduled on site. The staff was so great. A special thanks to Fidel, Enrique, Jesus, Abner, Joshua, and so many more for making our experience so very wonderful! We are thinking of having our wedding there next year and most definitely will return to Mahekal in years to come. It is a truly "Magical" place to stay!

Beautiful place. Nice private beach. But....I left Mahekal with 20+ mosquito bites and it was all pretty over priced as far as food and rooms go. If you go here do not get the meal plan...there are so many better places to eat just a couple of blocks down the road and cheaper.

My wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff are marvelous. The accomodations are very good. The hotel grounds were magnificent. The food was very very good! It was quiet and very peaceful. No phone! No televsion! No internet! Yayyy! The shopping/restaraunt areas were very near and fun. We look forward to returning some day. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful, restful stay with many exciting things to see and do.
