-Hay punto a favor y en contra. El hotel es costoso en cuanto a tarifa por noche, alimentos y actividades extra. Pero hay que tomar muy en cuenta del nivel que tiene este desarrollo. El hotel tiene excelentes instalaciones, el ambiente es agradable y las personas son muy amables.

Es muy bonito y limpio en sus áreas públicas con buenos restaurantes y sazones, pero es muy fastidioso el estar en ese hotel, sus políticas no son para comodidad ni beneficencia real del huésped en muchas de ellas. Muchos empleados presentan una mala actitud dando mala atención a su vez. La playa no es bonita porque esta llena de coral, no de arena. Y tiene muchas algas, hay demasiados mosquitos los cuales te pican mucho aun usando repelente. Y no dan información de todas las cosas sino hasta que ya estas actuando y casi siempre su información reservada lleva costos extras por cosas no comunes por lo que no es esperado para las personas. Si van a este hotel investiguen bien todo lo que vivirán. Sepan que en Cancun no se puede usar uber. Por políticas obias del gobierno federal (cobrar mucho para robar al turista).

Se pierde mucho tiempo en los traslados en el tren, en la habitación nos encontramos cucarachas y en la presentación que originalmente nos habían dicho que iba a ser de 90 min fueron 4hrs! aunque les comentamos desde un principio que no compraríamos nada. Por lo demás la atención del personal en general fue muy buena.

Esta preciso,, instalaciones impresionantes y deliciosos restaurantes y excelente trato a huéspedes. Sin embargo las distancias son enormes y requiere de transporte interno lo que hace traslados muy muy lentos, oír lo tanto si tienes algún compromiso o cita el tiempo para llegada se incrementa así como el regreso a tu habitación

Tienen el peor sistema de transporte interno no son accesibles y tienes que tomar dos o tres trenes antes de llegar a donde quieres ir aparte de esperar hasta media hora por cada transporte porque siempre van llenos . Según su transporte es ecológico eléctricos y que por eso no permiten autos adentro pero solo son algunos pues otros si son de combustible normal . Otro detalle es que te cobran 11 dólares por noche por persona obligatorios sin mencionar que el internet es lento y carísimo. El estacionamiento es de lo peor aparte de caro el sistema es patético te cobran 100 por día y si llevas alimentos tienes que dejarlos y ellos te los llevan casi una hora después pues es lentisima su infraestructura no sé si se debió ha que estaban construyendo algunas cosas pero a como veo tiene tiempo así . En cuanto a las habitaciones son exelentes lo malo es que no tienen vista al mar . La playa no es apta para bañarse pues tiene arresifes y rocas que te lastiman si te metes . Sus albercas muy bonitas . En cuanto a alimentos son muy surtidos los bufets pero muy caros no vale la pena. Incluso los extranjeros nos comentaban sobre lo malo que era el transporte interno .en conclusion no soy bueno para redactar mucho menos para expresarme en este tipo de cosas pero es un poco de mi experiencia en vidanta . Y lo que si puedo desir que hay mejores y más sencillos hoteles en cuanto a protocolo pues son muy estrictos . Siempre es lo que estos dicen y ya.

El ambiente y el entorno son hermosos. Lamentablemente el servicio y la honradez del personal son deplorables. Si van de vacaciones, no pierdan de vista sus pertenencias porque pese a la "seguridad" del hotel, y a los reportes de extravío o robo, no hay forma de que los controlen ni menos recuperen sus pertenencias. Muy mala experiencia en general.

Es muy un hotel con grandes instalaciones, bien cuidadas y muy bonitas, los trabajadores son muy atentos y amables. Lo que podría incomodar son las distancias dentro del mismo hotel, cuentan con transporte pero a veces pueden ser tardados. En mi más reciente visita de nos dijo que cobraban estacionamiento, algo que es inaudito dado que jamás había visto que en un hotel te cobrarán por el derecho de tener tu automóvil en el hotel.

Pésimo en cuanto comodidad, tienen un sistema de trenesitos de lo mas feo te ponen a esperar en la parte de atrás de los hoteles que sales por la lavandería y esperas 10 min y los mosquitos te acaban, cobran estacionamiento 100 diarios, tardas 40 min desde tu cuarto al lobbi central no sabes ni de donde vienes ni a donde vas lo único rescatable es la amabilidad de los conductores las albercas no hay ni una sombrilla y las camas cobran 350 y se tiene que reservar no hay ni una sombrita, recomiendo ampliamente el de acapulco y si traen niños mucha paciencia

Mi primera experiencia en este lugar como miembro fue absolutamente fabulosa! Todo es precioso en exageracion. La alberca es enorme y la limpieza es descomunal tanto que cambian las camas dos veces al dia. Todos los empleados son sumamente atentos desde la llegado hasta la salida, siempre ayudando en todo momento. La comida muy rica y aunque por el tamaño del lugar todo queda retirado, tienen un excelente servicio de transporte de un punto a otro. La playa no muy bonita porque esta muy rocosa pero para relajarse esta perfecta.

El lugar es muy grande, así que necesitas transporte hasta para ir a la alberca, lo malo es que se tardan muchísimo en llegar, y la mayoría de las veces, se llena el carro/trenecito y aún se queda gente esperando. Para ir a joya (Cirque du Soleil) igual. Habíamos cerca de 60 personas esperando, pasó el carrito y se quedaron más de la mitad de las personas esperando. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas.... Pero lo bonito no te lleva rápido a dónde quieres ir.... Aunado a que como es en medio de la selva, en 5 minutos te comen los mosquitos....

El hotel en sí es gigante, puedes caminar y conocer un poco de la flora y fauna local, eso es un bonito, tiene muchas y grandes albercas, tiene acceso a la playa y si bien no puedes bañarte ahí porque hay bastantes corales se compensa un poco con sus albercas, tienen varios muelles. La ubicación, si no tienes coche se complica bastante el moverte bien sea a Playa del Carmen o a Cancún ya que están como a 20 min. O más. Servicio muy bueno, comida de servicio a cuarto un asco, no la pidas, mejor ve a los restaurantes de ahí y llévala a tu habitación.

Todo bien con algunas quejas (cobran $100diarios) por estacionamiento (valet parking), para trasladarte de Valet al hotel esta lejos y los camionsitos tardan mucho en ir por los huespedes, lugares y restaurantes maravillosos y ricos, alberca super grandes pero sucia, si uno desea la cuenta de lo que consumas dentro de la estancia te la agregan al cuarto, en checkOUT te cobran TU CONSUMO! (Algo caro) , JOYÀ SUPER RECOMENDADO (paquete Champagne) hay que fijarse bien lo que consume y pedir PRECIOS!!

Si te gustan los hoteles con "mucho lujo" vas a disfrutar el complejo de vidanta. Dejas tu auto y tienes que pedir forzozamente que te lo traigan, te cobran por todo, la comida es cara. Las albercas muy padres. La playa tranquila y puedes nadar increíble en ella. La comida muy buena, no excelente.

Un bello lugar, inmenso el hotel con muy lindos caminos entre la naturaleza, iguanas, coatis con los que puedes convivir sin problema. Tiene muchas Albercas muy bonitas, el hotel está como para quedarte toda una semana sin salir de alli y no te aburrirás ya que hay mucho que puedes hacer. Te quedan muy cerca los destinos como: Tulum, Coba, Chichen-itza, Xcaret en fin casi todos los atractivos de la zona están para este rumbo. Te alejas del bullicio de Cancún, la zona es muy tranquila.

El paraíso tiene nombre y se llama VIDANTA!!! es un edem ese lugar! tuvimos la experiencia de estar una semana en un lugar donde el trato de todo el personal es espectacular, las albercas son hermosas, el lugar está muy ordenado, tiene seguridad por todos lados. Un lugar altamente recomendable al que pienso volver! Antes de viajar a Mayan Palace tenía incertidumbre porque leí algunos comentarios malos, pero nadie se deje guiar por eso! El hotel tiene albercas muy grandes y villas de buen tamaño. Sin embargo, ninguna habitación tiene siquiera una vista parcial al mar. Las distancias a recorrer para llegar de un lugar a otro son ridículas, y dado que el hotel está en medio de la nada, no hay ninguna otra opción viable más que quedarse aqui. Algunas de las villas están a 20 minutos caminando de la playa. Se tiene la opción de esperar un carrito de golf que te recoja, pero hay distintas rutas que son poco claras y toman mucho tiempo en llegar, por lo que es simplemente más fácil caminar. Para un hotel tan caro, es ridículo. El personal es muy amable y la fauna muy interesante. La playa es difícil ya que las entrada son de piedra y no de arena, por lo que acceder al mar es casi imposible. Dadas las opciones en otros lugares en Riviera Maya, no recomendaría este lugar.

El grupo hotelero recién cambió de propietario ahora se llama Vidanta y hay varios cambios desagradables ya que a pesar de que las instalaciones están levemebte remodeladas y son bonitas y excelentemente ubicadas la actitud de varios trabajadores es muy mala y falta de respeto. Te obligan a hacer varios pagos sin un buen sustento incluso te exigen asistir a una plática de ventas de lo contrario te cobran $300usd. Asistimos y el sr. Adrian Mis fue la persona más inepta y ofensiva que nos entrevistó y al no tener recursos de venta fue muy grosero con nosotros. El servicio de valet parking obligatorio es ineficiente y desordenado. Conclusión: a lo largi de los ocho años que hemos visitado el complejo hotelero, las instalaciones se remodelan pero cada año el servicio al cliente empeora dramáticamente. Si eres miembro de RCI en este complejo hotelero vas a carecer de muchos beneficios y recibirás un trato especialmente terrible.

Por lo que pagas y no hay WiFi (lo cobran), quieres sombra pagala$350MX diario, parking lo cobran diario $100MX, cargo dario de $25MX extra a la habitacion, los meseros ni te pelan, todo hay que reservar y te ven cara de USD$ todo el tiempo. Y si no compras eres pobre. Nadie resuelve, mala organización. Y la comida no esta tan buena.

Not a fan. It is 7:10 p.m. on day 2 and I am still waiting on housekeeping. Getting around is a nightmare with shuttles that are unreliable and few and far between. Communication seems to be a problem throughout the property as no one seems to know anything about anything but the job they are doing. When asking a question you get a deer in the headlights look. The beach is very rocky and I witnessed a woman bloodied after falling in the rocky surf yesterday. The bed is like lying on plywood. Not good for side or stomach sleepers. Not impressed. Customer service does not seem to be a priority here. Will of course be going to a sales presentation where we will voice our concerns.

This is a beautiful resort. However they will charge you for every little amenity possible from useable Wi-Fi to 10 dollar bottles of water. Furthermore getting around the resort can be quite the hassle. The sales staff will try to trick you into sitting a sales presentation and will blatantly lie to you that it is not one. Just be careful when booking here and be prepared. Bring along resources such as food and drink to stop yourself being overcharged

We have had several vacations at various resorts in Mexico, both all-inclusive and not all-inclusive. Of these vacations, Mayan Palace has been the best experience of all of these. The staff was very friendly and always served us to the best of their ability. The food is spectacular, the drinks are not watered down and use real fruit in drinks like daiquiris. While you pay for everything you eat and drink, I felt that we did not spend any more money here that we would have by going to an all inclusive resort. The campus is pretty spread out, so if you do not like to walk, definitely take the trams, but know that they do take longer to get around the resort. We did not mind walking or waiting for the trams, after all we really had no schedules to keep being on vacation. The rooms were clean, well maintained and spacious. We had our own kitchenette and did make breakfast in the room. There are nice facilities where you can buy groceries and other necessities, but of course they can cost more than out in town. We stopped at a grocery store on the way from the airport and got most of the items we felt we would need/want before arriving. If you decide to go to this resort, expect to be asked to sit through the sales pitch. They will tell you it will only be an hour, which technically is true for the actual sales portion, but in all we spent three hours between the free breakfast, the tours and the sales pitch. The nice thing about it is when we declined, they were not pushy and provided us the discounts promised for taking the time to listen. Overall, a great experience and one we hope to have with the Vidanta company again in the future.

Really nice staff and rooms. There were a few issues which needing fixing: room shower did not drain properly so backed up offten. Lights did not work in several rooms. And TV did not have a remote. Housekeeping came by and fixed most of this but should have been addressed before. Staff will not wash dishes even if they belong to the hotel. Complementary WiFi is fast and works well - very impressed.

Overall my experience this week to my first time in Mexico was decent. There are PROS and there are CONS PROS: The room is very spacious, Big Pool but a bit salty, Housekeeping did its job, The staff are genuine and greet you every morning, When you come from WAL-MART the staff brings your groceries to your room and also the bell boy brings your luggage, decent selections of restarants, Nice architecture and landscape. This place has indigenous lizards on the sides of the wooden pathways which I think its cool. The place is 15 min between Cancun and Playa del Carmen CONS: You need a shuttle to get to the pool, Its a pain trying to leave the resort where you have to take a shuttle to central lobby then pay $35 for a taxi plus tips, They were 4 spiders in our room so we had to switch rooms, over priced food, the balcony is small, Can be a bit more modern, The timeshare guy said that the presentation would be 1-3 hours but turned out to be 12 hours which eat up our second day, the wi-fi is terrible and not secured. I given this place a 3 out 5 for a decent first time in Mexico and I might stay at a different Vidanta location next time -Anonymous Affection

My wife and I recently enjoyed a fabulous week at the Mayan Palace. This is a shout out to the great staff at this resort, generally and specifically to a unfortunate event that could have proved calamitous. I left an unattended backpack with valuables inside the pack beside a lounger at a small side pool. We noticed within 1/2 hour to 45 minutes that the pack and our books 1 on each pool lounger were missing. We immediately notified security and the concierge staff. The security manager and resort managers Andre and Phillip were extremely helpful in those stressful hours. The concierges Julieta, Dennis, Minerva and Naueli also worked hard to facilitate an effective plan B. In the end someone returned my intact pack along with valuables. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to those folk who returned my pack as well as the above mentioned staff who worked hard to make our experience a joyous one Muchos Gracious!

We went on a promotional, and when we declined to purchase their timeshare, we immediately felt the hospitality change from the entire staff. The restaurants are overpriced, but the food is good. The only thing that there really is to do here is hang out in the pool. Yes, Circ de Solei is here, but was closed when we were there. The beach is not one that you can go in, as the bottom is entirely coral reefs. The drinks are watered down.

It is definetly one of best Resorts in Riviera Maya and Cancun. Just 15min away from the airport and right in the heart of the area, in less than two hours is possible to drive to Tullum and Holbox Island. Day 1: We are disappointed to say the least. We checked into our room and noticed there was an awful smell. Knowing that our room was just cleaned, we figured it was bleach. We made our way to dinner and when we came back the smell was still not gone. After looking around the room we found black mold on the couch, lampshades, curtains to the balconies for the bedroom and living room, and a lot in the bathroom.

Pros: decent prices at deli for food and some essentials, nice pools, large rooms, nice staff, happy hour from 12-2 at pool bars, OK Private beach. Cons: timeshare place, $75 USD resort fee for wifi and gym access, automatically added 10% gratuity to all purchases made at any of their bars, restaurants, spa etc... only allow their own tour companies to enter the property pick you up at your lobby, but they did allow them to drop us off after the tour or excursion. options are they have a 12 to 24 person cart marked with a blue flag that buses you to the main entrance that runs every 40 min from 8a-11a then 6p-11p. Or, you can take the yellow flag cart that drops you off at the last stop and you have about a 5 min walk to the main gate, or you can take a taxi (usually have a few parked just outside the Mayan Palace lobby) to the main gate for 50 pesos per cab. Wifi is slower than dial up, some restaurants require reservations.

We bought a timeshare here, big mistake. We r at the Myan palace, they only now have one building that isnt a million miles away from pools and beach. Now they are tearing it down to build the more expensive rooms there. A joke, cost alot and feels like Disneyland, which it is now turning into. Felt really mislead, and dont believe the story if your an owner that they want your input when they ask you to meet with them, the lied right to my face when i said your not going try and sell me anything, uhh, yes they did exactly that. Stay away, just buy weeks here online, they will tell u that u cant, but u can. Beautiful Playa del Carmen, but do t need a timeeshare!

Over all my experience was ok...except my last day when I decided to spend $600 for a day of fishing I ended up catching 3 little fish! I go in the states a couple times a year and usually end up with 7-30 keeper fish. For about $100. The value they provided fishing is horrific. Please save ur money and go fishing in your Home Counties.
