Nosotros visitamos su Hotel durante Julio 15 hasta Julio 20, 2017, estuvimos maravillados ,todos en el Hotel fueron tan amables, nos trataron como reyes. Eramos un grupo de 18 personas, con el apellido de Carreon, Nevarez, y Flores. Le damos especialmente gracias a Beatirz Gonzales, quien nos ayudo con la confirmacion de nuestro avion de regreso en el dept.de servicios al cliente. Tambien a Rubi Lopez en el cafe del lobby, nos trato amablemente cada vez que ibamos al cafe. Todos despues de la divertida del dia en el parque de Xcaret, disfrutamos el show. Yo la realidad llore al final del show, me trajo nostalgia ,porque aungue no vivimos en Mexico, siempre llevare Mexico en el alma y corazon,. Gracias por esta gran experiencia, este Hotel lo tiene todo ! Asi se siente Mexico, asi se lleva Mexico en la piel !

La mejor fiesta, ya teníamos pensado irnos a otro hotel pero la fiesta y el trato de animación nos convenció de quedarnos porque nos informaron de todo lo que puedes hacer en el hotel y es muy bueno todo lo que se hace. Una excelente opción, eh tenido la oportunidad de conocer diferentes hoteles en la Riviera Maya, pero en ninguno pase un tiempo tan agradable como lo pase aquí, desde que llegue recepción fue muy amable, el hotel está ubicado en una zona hermosa, la playa, la caleta, y está literalmente en medio de la selva, sus árboles totalmente rodean los edificios. Es fascinante la flora y fauna del lugar. Definitivamente el grupo de animación hicieron Mis vacaciones inolvidables, las clases de yoga y las actividades me Encantaron, pude hacer muchísimas cosas y el espectáculo de la noche definitivamente es el mejor que eh visto, pude ver el show latino, el internacional y el de Disney. Los bailarines excelentes, y los cantantes parecen sacados de un programa de mucho talento, las chicas son guapísimas y los 3 tienen una voz impresionante. Vacaciones divertidas Mis vacaciones fueron muy buenas, estuve 5 dias y lo que mas me gusto fue la fiesta de espuma y las clases de baile, el hotel tiene muchas areas verdes y muchos animales. Siempre hay algo que hacer con los del fun club. En lasnoches presentan un show bueno uno por noche y son con sus bailarines y sus musicos y la verdad son muy bonitos los shows. Las cenas a lacarta mi favorito fue el de cortes y la discoteca se pone bueno porque el dj pone de todo lo que le piden y pone buen ambiente. Espero poder regresar pronto. La gente que trabaja ahi es muy amable y siempre sonriente. Lo recomiendo :)

Fui de luna de miel y antes de llegar a Xcaret nos alojamos por 2 noches y 3 días en Royalton Hideaway. Cuando fuimos a hacer check-in en Xcaret nos dicen que las camas son separadas y mi esposo le dice que nuestro paquete era de honeymoon y teníamos evidencia y a ellos nunca le apareció y no habían habitaciones de una cama disponible. Pedimos que juntaran las camas y terminamos haciéndolo nosotros mismos ya que ellos nunca lo hicieron. La comida no nos gusto mucho. Al final preferimos ir al buffet y no era la gran cosa. Nos arrepentimos de haber escogido dos hoteles para la luna de miel ya que el primero que visitamos Royalton es mejor y por mucho. La atención al cliente no es muy buena . Lo único que si nos disfrutamos y volveríamos es al parque ya que esta espectacular, pero si regresamos a Cancún iríamos al parque de excursión no nos quedaríamos en el hotel eso está claro. Fue decepcionante porque escogimos Cancún para luna de miel por este hotel y la experiencia no fue la mejor. El hotel si está muy bonito y rodeado de naturaleza pero según mi punto de vista sin el mejor servicio al cliente y sin buena comida.

Buen dia, hace unos meses me llamaron de la agencia American Travel Luxury para ofrecernos un paquete en nombre de ustedes que por ya haber ido ahi y al Sandos que pertenecen al mismo grupo ya eramos "socios" , todo incluido 5 dias 4 noches para 2 personas y mi hija de 15 entraba gratis en lugar de los 2 menores gratis, al principio dije que no porque estaba con los gastos de la fiesta de mi hija y volvieron a llamar para ofrecernos mas, 8 dias 7 noches 2 pases al parque Xcaret y 18 meses sin intereses y acepte, se hizo el pago, llega el estado de cuenta y lo cobraron todo hablamos con el banco y dijeron que la agencia no tiene convenio con ellos, pues ya ni modos, y ya para hacer la reservacion nos dicen que no esta incluido el Grand Occidental Xcaret porque esta en reparaciones y luego nos dijeron que si queriamos estar ahi que se tenia que pagar una diferencia, nos mandan una lista de hoteles y no habia ningun hotel de ustedes, eran hoteles de 3 estrellas en cancun todo fue un FRAUDE de la agencia que esta haciendo estos fraudes a su nombre, la verdad ya ni ganas de ir. lo que les pido es que vean esa situacion, no se vale que esten haciendo esos fraudes a su nombre porque quedan mal ustedes y la agencia.

Las vistas son increíbles y creo que mi único disgusto es que las habitaciones que pedimos del First Club que tenía ,por así decirlo 2 en 1 habitaciones, estaban arrinconadas en el primer piso, y con una vista a una parte del hotel que no había nadie. Pero a eso no le dimos mucha importancia por que lo demás es lo de menos!

We came on a girls trip and although there was rain on one of our days, the staff and resort were amazing! MARIO at the fun club made our pool time always fun, with pool aeirobics and archery lessons. We also got massages on the beach that were as close to euphoric as you can get. Stayed in this hotel 3 times. Perfect location. Get a lot cheaper price for the xcaret park. Food is delicious and the variety is amazing. Bartenders are funny and very friendly. The staff is great too. Rooms are big and have balconies. Wild animals (not dangerous) are all around which is absolutely amazing. Great and fun experience.

The place is nice and clean, staff are warm and welcoming. Xcaret park is really fun and I recommend swimming with the dolphins. The cons I would have to say are that many people from the resort sort of hound you to become part of their VIP club for which they get a commission and its really annoying after a while, also the food at the buffet (which you primarily eat at for breakfast and lunch since most restaurants open at night) is pretty subpar. The pools are all shallow which stinks and there are no hot jacuzzi tubs here. The resort itself just has hotels and restaurants/bars , the beautiful pictures you see online are primarily of xcarat park and the park is a separate fee that is $99 a day so kind of expensive. I think I would come back here again because overall it was a nice vacation.

They go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing time. I recommend going to the show at xcaret but the resort has amazing shows. The disco at night is so fun with all kinds of music.

Wonderful family vacation!! Tons of activities! The food was great! All of the restaurants were great and went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests. We loved the beach restaurant for breakfast and lunch everyday. You could eat and have a breathtaking view! Great location!The Mayan ruins on the property were incredible to see. The resort was good and clean. We had a great time here but it is not for everyone. It is not a party location. The food was very good and the staff was great for the most part. We loved the fact that it was so lush and green, and they have any als running around the grounds which was cool. They have a nice pool but the beach is really lacking. I would suggest if you want to try something a little different try this place out. Plus it is an eco-resort so I guess it makes you feel good about that. Also, if you want to go to Xcaret it is right next door and you can walk there.

I wouldnt bother with the £292 vip upgrade as the xcaret park itself you gain access to isnt amazing and all the good things you have to pay additionally for. The $920 resort credit isnt credit its coupons for example (spend $150 in a certain shop and save $30) so you dont really get youre moneys worth with any of that which was a huge dissappointment! All you really get is a nasty cheap bottle of tequila in the room and the xcaret band! Everything else mentioned is either misled or already included. Oriental restaurant and magic show are defo things not to miss out on if you do go here, the pools are great and volleyball at the games pool was loads of fun and great to meet people, the midday snackbar we only discovered half way through and the food there was great too so went there most days after! Archery at 10 and 4 by the sports courts was cool and all the animals about, mr mario the penalty man was a great laugh!! Main thing id reccommend is dont get tricked into going to the vip vacation first club presentation where youre promised no pressure and free gifts then at the end the try pressure you very badly to make a decision to join youre apparently not allowed to say maybe. The virgin staff were all very helpful especially eloise as she was our rep. The gym was great and never too busy although there are limited pieces of equipment for things such as shoulders!

This resort is a nice place to stay. and all the staff are super friendly, although it comes with caveats. For instance, they will try to get you to sing up for a "membership" at every chance they get. Also, there is currently a lot of construction going on, which meant a lot of noise in the building we were staying (but only during the daytime) as well as faint sewer smell around the lobby area.

Very amazing resort. Everything was simply beautiful. The Mayan ruins on site gives a feel of history to what is already a beautiful place. The food around the entire resort was mainly sub-par. There are great restaraunts, dont get me wrong, but a majority was lacking. Drinks were amazing all the way around. I would have given 4 stars but they are RELENTLESS with the time share information. They shove it down your throat multiple times a day and it gets very annoying. Im there to enjoy my vacation, not contantly listen to your sales pitch. Overall it is a beautiful place to stay, drinks are amazing and the food it okay but be prepared to be pestered with their time share pitch.

Went here for honeymoon November 2015 - looked incredible in the pictures but I can only assume it was when it was first built! Cost over £2500 for us to stay their for a week. Was told "a minor pool you wont notice was closed" but was actually the largest pool in the hotel that had the only pool seats which I was particularly excited about. Staff were good to be fair. Would stay here again for a normal run of the mill holiday but we left with a sour taste in our mouth when we were expecting the holiday of a lifetime. Food was very average at best, exactly the same choice everyday which gets very laborious very fast. The "specialty" restaurants are really the same as all the other food. Nothing particular special. Needs a lot of money spent to get it up to spec.

Entire resort very well maintained, nice people everywhere, food and drinks plentiful, lots of excellent choices, pretty classy but casual, dramatic rocky water front, loved the evening shows! A couple drawbacks were lack of towels at certain times of day so good to keep a couple in room, bring your snorkel gear because they only rent one hour at a time, wifi policy is lame so be prepared to pay a bit more for consistent wifi, no long beach for walks or runs but plenty of nice forest paths. I give it 4.5.

The places looks a little run down, apparently it was recently purchased by Occidental Hotels and many modifications are happening. Furniture misplaced, some areas look like a warehouse. Service at the bar was excellent though. And the food was amazing.

This place was horrible. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We booked months in advance and asked for a king bed, but never received one. Even after asking multiple times. The fruit in the room was moldy. I could go on and on about why we will never stay here again! Save your money and stay somewhere else!

Stayed here for a week on my honeymoon and never wanted to leave. Staff is so friendly. Weather is gorgeous. Mayan ruins right on site. Very exotic yet safe. So many different things to do...top notch spa, 5star food. Many different bars and pools throughout resort. Access to the archeological park. Something to enjoy for all ages. Romantic yet also ideal for college spring break or even family vacation.

I have yet to go - We are arriving for Labor Day weekend. I am looking at reviews though and notice that the owner is responding to most which I think is an excellent display of customer service. My wife and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary and this is only our 2nd trip to Mexico, so any advice on excursions or even how to upgrade to the Royal would be great. I want it to be special for her but am pretty new to booking these things. Appreciate all the reviews though and am looking forward to posting about our experience.

We had our wedding at Occidental Grand Xcaret in January and it turn out perfect. Our Photographer at Decordova Photography was able to capture beautiful pictures for us here. We had a wonderful time. This resort is very large but we never felt crowded. There were always plenty of lounge chairs at the pools and on the small beach. We loved this resort.

Amazing pools and wonderful staff! The resort is so big. You can do anything from snorkeling, under water caves, zip lines, quads, swim with dolphins, myan ruins and lots more! Everything was amazing from the room to the beach and pools. The staff was perfect everyone was so kind and more then happy to assist you with anything you needed! There was tons of different places to get food. The resort was absolutely beautiful!

My wife and I went here for our honey moon. We had a great time, the sea food restaurant over the beach has amazing food, and views. The buffet was good, had a large selection. The resort was huge, you can explore it for hours a day. We liked it so much that we just booked a trip for next month, we will be taking our kids to see all of the animals. We just came back from our visit to occidental xcaret and had a freat time. The staff upgraded us to royal club!!! we were trested like royalty! my kids loved it we saw monleys, deer, birds, iguanas and a hole bumch of other animals. The food was great, the beach was ideal no waves, great shows! We cant wait for our next visit!

The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The one afternoon we were there a crew had to come in and change out the wood balcony railing for an aluminum one, but that was a minor inconvenience, and we just hung out by the pool that day anyway. The only "bugs" we saw were moths at night (to be expected) and web spiders in some of the treed areas. No crawly type insects were observed. I saw a few of the reviews complaining about the "wild animals" that were around, but for me and my family, this was of the highlights of the resort. The resort has a large footprint, and is about 30% treed with natural vegetation. My daughter was excited to see the iguana, coatis, agouti, and deer. We did not see one snake, and we were looking for one. The food was fresh and the buffets well staffed. We were able to get an a la carte seating every night. My suggestion is to order your steaks and seafood a little more rare than you like, as they error on the side of overcooking those items. Other than that, we were quite impressed. They even cater to those (idiots) who travel but insist in eating the exact same types of food they eat at home. Live a little, you knobs! The resort, for the price point, was excellent. I would stay there again, but if I was going without kids, I would spring for the Royal Club upgrade.

I paid top dollar to come to this hotel and was thoroughly disappointed when I arrived. The mosquitoes were out of control. They are big on nature but the scrubs were over grown. Animals were all over and loose, even snakes. My family and I were put in an old building with mold and mildew in the rooms. We had to discard some of our clothing because mold started to grow on them. When we complained to management, we were given three different reasons for our accommodations; 1. We are only staying 6 days opposed to 7 days 2. We are traveling during peak season instead of low season. 3. We are using bonus time of a time share. I was on the phone almost an hour during the purchasing process. None of the above was mentioned. There wasn’t a question we didn’t ask. I feel like I got the bait and switch. It clearly says on the website that if you stay more than three days you can enter the water park for free next door but they wanted to charge us $90 per person. Half price for children. The best one was; I asked management that if they were on vacation, would they stay in my accommodations. She said; “No and I understand.” What a joke! I flew my family first class to go stay in a boarding house. I will never go back and recommend you NOT GO THERE!

My husband and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon 2 years ago. We used a groupon and it was a great deal. We enjoyed our trip up until we were hasseled into the 2 hour (which ended up being a 4 hour) time share speech. Now, the hubby and I love to travel and were listening to the wonderful things our "guide" was telling us. He fed off of everything we said we enjoyed. If we said we want to travel every year, he said, "and by becoming a first club member you will". If we said we dont want to just be limited to mexico and the carribean, he said, "You can go to any of our resorts and we are opening up new ones in Europe as we speak". Anyways, all this to say IT IS A HUGE LIE AND SCAM. If you can get a groupon go to this resort, it is worth the small amount of money you are paying, BUT DO NOT BUY INTO THEIR MEMBERSHIP, DO NOT BOTHER GOING TO THE TIMESHARE TOUR! THEY WILL TELL U WHATEVER U WANT TO HEAR AND WASTE 1/2 YOUR DAY. 2 years later my husband and I are still living with the reprecussions of our rookie mistake of buying into their First Club membership program. THEY DO NOTHING TO MAKE U FEEL SPECIAL, THEY DO NOT CARE WHETHER U ARE HAPPY OR SATISFIED, ONCE U SIGN YOUR NAME ON THE CONTRACT THEY CAN CARE LESS ABOUT U OR YOUR NEEDS. I even had the manager just "for show" make a reply to one of my posts saying how sorry she was that I was unhappy and to please provide my email so we could communicate, I provided my email AND SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO GET BACK TO ME! Please, please, please do not make the same mistake my husband and I did and get stuck into a membership that is binding and lasts 25 years...and where you dont get to travel to the places they promised or as often as they promised. They are crooks.
