Itanes/Captains Club de San Carlos is a well established "harbor hangout", located one block east of Marina San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. We are about a half block south of Marina Terra Hotel on the opposite side of the road with great views of the marina and Tetakawe peaks.
San Carlos is located on the Sea of Cortez, 250 miles south of the US/Mexico border at Nogales, off of Mexico Federal Highway 15. It is one of the few places on earth where desert mountains end right at the sea. Bahia San Carlos provides one of the safest hurricane holes on the sea and the near by bays and caletas provide excellent sailing and exceptional anchorages, fishing and diving. Land based activities also abound in the nearby desert mountains and beautiful sandy beaches.
The "Club" is a Restaurant/Bar, open to everyone. We serve the coldest beer in town, BBQ grilled burgers, beer battered fish and shrimp tacos, and our famous Cahuamanta soup in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We also have daily specials that include a fish sandwiches, Jambalaya, Clam Chowder, BBQ Pork Ribs, Chile Rellenos, Pozole, crab tostadas, Bratwurst with saurekraut among other plates.
We have just completed phase two of the Captains Club by installing a wood fired pizza oven with a New Jersey style pizza available only on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Our pizza sauce is an Italian family recipe that is almost 100 years old. There is no other pizza like this anywhere in Mexico which we guarantee you will love or we will buy you a beer.
We have a full bar with excellent Margaritas served by a friendly staff. Happy Hour is everyday from 3 to 7pm with daily beer specials that include 15 peso Chope draught beer, Pacifico and Corona bottles. Sunday is 25 Peso Bloody Mary day all day. We proudly state that we have the coldest beer in town and the freshest food available.
We offer a multitude of services to the cruising, sport fishing, and diving communities as well as the community of San Carlos in general. We offer sport fishing, diving, and sailing trips, boat purified water, propane drop off service and among other things, Wireless internet is also available.
Phase II of our beer garden has been completed with a palapa front and relaxed seating with lots of plants and shade. Enjoy a pizza outside from Friday to Monday with an ice cold beer any day we are open.

Douglas MonroeA friendly place for a cold beer on a hot San Carlos day. The staff makes you feel at home and the prices are very reasonable. Look around and you could imagine Hemingway penning a story at the bar.
