Rented a Chrysler Town and Country. Extremely low miles. Reservations where made over email. They where very good about giving me very good instructions for the whole process. When I arrived at the airport, there was a lady holding up a sign with my name. She had water for all of us and helped us with our luggage. We where taken to the curb where a Mercedes van was waiting for us and took us to the rental location next to the airport. There a gentleman by the name of Beto was waiting for us. He helped us with the luggage. Process was very quick. Took my deposit, walked around the car inspecting prior damages or marks and we where off in less then 15 minutes. Returning was also very easy, he looked around the car, made the final charge and was king enough to take us back to the airport. Overall is was a great and easy process. I would highly recommend them compared to all other big companies. There was one thing I was not aware off or knew about, I was charged $30 for the airport pickup. Im sure I would have gladly paid the money for the group of 7 I had. It just would have been nice to know about it ahead of time. I was told about it at the rental agency after the fact. No biggie. It was great service non the less. Would rent again.

Rented a Chrysler Town and Country from gecko for a week. Was a little bit pricier than other places but gecko came highly recommended from a friend. The minivan I rented only had five thousand kilometers on it. They took the time to explain the differences and driving in Mexico also provided a free travel guide and map and answered all my questions. Overall experience was excellent. The pickup from the airport was very convenient and free and they also give you a free ride back to the airport when you return the vehicle. I would definitely rent from gecko again. Thanks again guys you made our vacation just that much more awesome.

Just got back from Puerto Vallarta, I needed a car just for one day to visit a friend up north, they had a satellite office very close to the hotel I was staying, was able to pick up and then drop off close to our house in Bucerias the next day which was awesome. The price was fine, the service was great and the crew were very friendly. I would highly recommend Gecko.

I strongly recommend Gecko Car Rental based on my own experience and that of others with whom I consulted. I have travelled to the Puerto Vallarta area for many years and had previously struggled with inconsistent service and pricing at many of the "National" car rental agencies. This year was different; I went on the recommendation of friends who had dealt with Gecko in the past. I found that Gecko was easy to deal with and fully lived up to their service promise.

Reasonable rates, they will pick you up. We had engine problem, they more than helpful. The caveat, the car is for local use. For trip to Guadalajara we had to go through Enterprise because of Insurance.

My experience with Gecko rent a car, in Bucerias, Nayarit, Mexico, was absolutely perfect! It could not have gone better. I reserved a vehicle 5 months ahead of my trip and it was ready when I went to pick it up. All costs were up front, and they were the most organized and the cheapest. Denis was great to work with. I will be renting from them again. Ron True

Not only do they avoid the scams that ALL the other car rental companies use to bait and switch on price, but they also are just super nice and helpful. Great communication, fun people, totally trustworthy, and some great deals on surfboards and SUPs too. If you are staying north of PV, they are a no brainer.

My family and I planned our trip to Nuevo Vallarta almost a year in advance. We booked a car with Alamo through Airmiles. When we arrived at the Alamo rental office, the cost of insurance was almost $1200US. Plus, they want a deposit of 15000 peso. We quickly got a cab and got out of there. I had read reviews of Gecko rent a car and gave them a call. They were up front and amazing on short notice. Tomas picked us up at our condo, drove us to their office, gave instructions about driving in the area, gave us a tour book that was so useful and the cost was upfront. We had the car for 10 days and was 1/3rd the cost of Alamo....EVERYTHING INCLUDED (Car rental, collision and 3rd party ). We put 8000 pesos down as a deposit and were out of the office. When we returned the car the deposit was cancelled the quoted price was the cost... They were EXCEPTIONAL! They even drove us back to our condo after the rental and offered to take us to the airport if we liked. If going to Puerto Vallarta book with Denis, Adam, Tomas or Lalo at Gecko Rent a Car. Absolutely Amazing!!!!

Rented a truck for a week in April, 2015. Great experience and great group to deal with. The car was clean and well cared for, the pickup and delivery from/to the airport was flawless. Their suggestion for a boat ride to Islas Marietas via the Alley Cat was great as well as their suggestion for ATV rides with Wilderness ATV. Highly recommended Gecko for a hassle free rental.

We travel to Puerto Vallarta nearly every year since we own a condo at Villa La Estancia in Nuevo Vallarta. We love to explore the area on our own and always rent our car from Gecko Rent a Car. The are extremely cost competitive, reliable and they have American size cars. Since they pick us up and return us to the airport, this avoids the hassles of dealing with the timeshare sales people. And they have a very friendly staff!
