Best hostel! The staff is so friendly and makes you feel family. There are fun activities through out the day and at night, and breakfast and dinner are included. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bartenders are great and make the yummiest frozen drinks. I would definitely com back here, and recommend to anyone visiting Cancun. Cheers!

Das Hostel hat eine gute Lage und große Zimmer. Man kommt mit anderen Gästen leicht ins Gespräch und das leckere Frühstück und Abendessen, welches umsonst angeboten wird ist natürlich ein großer Pluspunkt. Außerdem werden gemeinsame Unternehmungen angeboten, was das Hostel natürlich optimal für Alleinreisende macht. Wer allerdings Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier an der falschen Adresse, abends ist es sehr lange sehr laut. Auch die sanitären Anlagen könnten eine Erneuerung gebrauchen. Nichts desto trotz war ich sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt.

We loved staying in this hostel!. We took the private room, it was like a hotel room, was very clean. The hotel had a great social area. Great location only 2 minute walk away from the bus which takes you to the beach, parties, hotels and bar zone for 10 pesos. The staff are also fantastic. **Nico** my best friend, helped to us with everything, take us to the beach, to the Coco Bongo, to almost every thing! I will back just for Nico!!! Thank you!

Finally found the time to write this! Cancun was our final destination of our 2-month trip through Central America.. Mezcal hostel was our last but best hostel by far! We met nightguard Dean (Jamaican man) on a drunk night and became friends. The day after, he made us the most delicious dinner ever! You definitely have to visit this hostel if you are in cancun! The location is really great as well, it costs you about 2$ to get to the strip (place where the magic happens ;-) )! Dean ( and the other staff) many thanks for having us! If you fly into Cancun, stay here, its really that simple. Perfectly well located Hostel/Hotelito which serves as a great landing point in Mexico or as a place to chill out at the end of a tour. Its a few minutes away in a taxi from the ferry port you need for Isla Mujeres and offers a perfect base point. Taxis to the airport cost about $20 but if you are clever you walk the 7 minutes to the ADO bus station and get it for $5. Mezcal is without doubt one of the cleanest and tidiest places I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. From ice cold dorms with air con to gorgeous privates with double beds, ensuite and cable TV they just get it right. My private rooms were Fireball but the absolute best was Mai Tai which I LOVED The pool area is really well situated and you can chill in the shade or blaze in the sun. Every night something is going on but if you dont want to party you can quietly tuck away and that is respected as well. The free breakfast from 07.00 -10.00 is perfect to top up on along with tea and coffee. Now....the important bit for me. Sometimes things dont always go right and things happen and that is the test of a great set of owners and management team. I am absolutely delighted to say this, I stayed in The Hilton and Marriot Groups for years and the owners here at Mezcal Hostel Paco and Carlos wiped the floor with high end hotel customer services teams. My issue was absolutely taken of with immediate effect. I never judge by mistakes I judge by how it is put right and everyone could do with learning from Mezcal. They made us feel so happy and so welcome it was just great. Absolutely superb place to stay at and without doubt a place that really cares about your inbound and outbound care. In many places around the world I have stayed in hotel rooms like this for anything up to $800 a night but here was just a mere $45. Who needs a flash hotel! So in short, this is one of the best run Hostels/Mini Hotels I have had the pleasure to stay at on the planet......and Ive stayed at lots. If you are coming to Cancun, stay here. Its that simple. They deserve the highest ratings I can give and more.
