Evítenlo, si quieren pasar unas vacaciones inolvidables, busquen otro hotel. El personal de recepción parece que te hace un favor al atenderte, no tienen ni la más mínima noción de lo que es atención al huesped, eso sin mencionar a los concierge que más bien parecen estudiantes haciendo su servicio social, se la pasan en gran fiesta sin importarles las necesidades de los huéspedes. Las instalaciones del hotel son buenas (a secas), en algunos lugares algo descuidadas pero en general están bien. Las habitaciones están bien. En resumen, el hotel está bien pero el servicio deja mucho que desear y por los precios que manejan, pueden encontrar hoteles con mucho mejor calidad y con personal capacitado y con verdadera actitud de servicio.

Cuando por fin te prestan atención te piden identificaciones de cada persona que te acompaña, y dicen que si no dejan identificación no pueden hospedarse. We had a kitchenette so we could make breakfast and have it on our terrace before starting the day. The room also has a washing machine and dryer if you want to use it on vacation. There is a sliding door between the tub and room. You can have a bath with a view of the sea. We loved our relaxing vacation at the Westin!

Sea turtles are coming on beach right outside room balcony nightly to lay and bury their eggs. Buses are abundant and cost $1 US dollar per person to go any where on bus route.

It is directly across the street from high end shopping (LV, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, etc) and many restaurants. Other tourist areas are only a short bus ride away (only $12 pesos).

The restaurants have very good quality food, the on location market has smoothies and coffee drinks along with the necessitates for grilling, breakfast or a late night snack. The beach and pool are outstanding, the beach or pool are a great place to order a beverage and or meal which is brought to you so you do not miss the rays of the sun. Right across from a wonderful mall for shopping. The exchange rate has been great the last few years ranging from 13 to 21 pesos to a dollar. Live like a king or queen. Be sure to go downtown Cancun and enjoy the benefit of a strong dollar. Visit the Maya Museum and other cultural spots while in Mexico! You will love it.

We were treated like criminals the moment we walked in the door! We were staying with a group of four couples. 2 couples were supposed to stay in each room we had already reserved. ONE of the couples is the owner of a timeshare onsite. Two couples arrived together. Me and my husband arrived a few hours after and our room was reserved under our friends name who was still traveling. We arrived and our friends tried to add us as a guest to their room until our other friends arrived from the airport. We were denied and we could not reach the other couple because their flight was delayed several hours. We provided the name of our friends who were still traveling to the front desk, the name clearly matched. The front desk told us we could not leave the lobby until our friends arrived. We could not go hang out as a guest with the other couples who had already arrived, we could only sit in the lobby and wait. We told them they could keep our passports and luggage, they refused to accommodate us. My husband was followed to the restroom by security, security kept trolling around us. We waited several hours and had still not heard from our friends who were travelling. We arrived around 1pm, they did not arrive until almost 5pm. We found a room online and booked it around 4pm so we no longer had to remain in the lobby, as we had no idea when our friends would arrive. I have NEVER been treated like this in my life. The hospitality was horrible. NO APOLOGY WAS EVER OFFERED, NO REFUND WAS EVER GIVEN, this hotel is degrading the WESTIN name. I will be sure to post everywhere I can and have already informed several of our friends to NEVER stay there again. As a matter of fact one of our friends had just left Cancun the previous week Staying at the Royal Solaris hotel, they spent far less than we did and their hospitality was great. I have read numerous posts so far about the poor hospitality at this hotel so you should actually do something about your poor hotel. You will lose more customers, I assure you. When we come back in August, we will definitely not stay at either of the Westin hotels in or around Cancun.

I had my wallet/cellphone stolen from a private wedding reception. I was incredibly disappointed by the way the hotel staff handled my situation. The communication was poor and this was not due to a language barrier. Only when I called the Starwood customer service number did the managers of the resort actually reach out to me, but this was almost 1 week after the incident. The theft could have been handled a better way.

Beautiful resort with a great location. The infinity pool provided spectacular views. Service was professional. If you needed something, all you had to do is ask. If you arrive before the 4pm check in be prepared to wait until 4pm for your room.

My wife and I stayed here for a week for our first trip to Cancún and we were extremely impressed by this Westin. The view from almost every single room balcony is incredible, and it is a short walk to the well -maintained beach from anywhere in the resort. Other amenities were impressive including the Duna restaurant and the pools. We almost bought a time share during our visit - maybe next time!

We have stayed a few places in Cancun over the years but once we stayed here this has become our hotel of choice. It has the traditional Westin feel but in Mexico. The rooms and service are great. We always look forward to our annual trip. We have yet to bring our kids but this is definitely a place we would bring them to. There are always families around and I am sure the kids would have a great time. The beach and the pool are amazing. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stay in westin laguanamar between Feb14 and Feb20, 2016. Very well maintained resort. The infinity pool is breath taking, although water is cold during our stay. Across street from the La Isla mall. You can find all kinds of good restaurant in the mall. My favorite is La Madonna. Swimming with dolphin in the aquarium is worth of the ticket price.

we really love it! My wife and I had a great time at Sandos Resort. The staff was so polite and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were all having a great time! And we truly did have a wonderful experience. If I go back to Cancun I would stay here, and would recommend to friends.will start with the positive. The rooms were very nice, spacious and had great views. The beach is pretty nice as well. They do a good job of keeping it clean. The staff is very friendly and seem like good people. The spa is simply amazing and I have many upper class spas to compare this place to and Sandos spa stands above. The WiFi was pretty fast as well.

Great place, had the suite which was amazing, balcony overlooking the sea, the hotel is across the shopping mall, but really with the pool, beach, you dont need to go out of the hotel. bus stop also just outside the hotel just in case... service was top notch like in all Westins and the price/benefit relation is very high! would go back anytime, in fact i would move in if it was possible! congrats to the hotel!

Nice hotel, good location., friendly staff, reasonable prices, good value, clean, updated rooms with all kinds of utilities (kitchen, washer, dryer, detergent, fridge, etc) and ocean view The only thing that was annoying was the fact that there is no food or room service between 11PM and 7AM. Keep that in mind if your flight comes to Cancun during that weird time frame, especially if you are hungry and thirsty.
